PUBLICATION ETHICS

 

The editorial policy of scientific journal “Scientific Notes of Ostroh Academy National University, "Economics" series bases on the principles of:

• -objectivity and impartiality in the selection of articles for publication;
• -definition of scientific research quality;
• -compulsory review of articles;
• -adherence to collegiality in making decisions on articles publication;
• -efficiency in communicating with the authors;
• -observance of copyright and related rights.

The editorial staff ensures compliance with ethical standards to prevent any unethical behavior when making a decision on acceptance / revision / rejection and publication.

The editors of the journal, authors and reviewers undertake obligation to adhere to the standards of publishing ethics (as required by the Committee on Publication Ethics - COPE, and the Ethics Code of the Ukrainian scientist).

 

Ethical norms for the editorial board

The decision on the adoption of the article for consideration / revision / rejection and publication in the magazine is adopted by the editorial board, taking into account the general requirements for the article, its relevance, quality of scientific research.

The editorial board examines all manuscripts without bias, evaluating each article, regardless of racial, religious, national affiliation, job position of the author (s).

If the article does not meet the journal profile, the editorial board rejects the manuscript without review. The issuing editor reports this to the author (s).

The editorial board of the magazine opposes falsification, plagiarism, sending one work for publication in several journals, giving false information and conclusions in articles.

The editorial board assumes responsibility for ensuring compliance with copyright laws and takes all measures to avoid conflicts of interest between reviewers and authors.

Members of the Editorial Board should respect and protect the confidentiality of reviewers and authors.

 

Ethical norms for authors

The authors of the articles are fully responsible for the content, originality of the work, truthfulness of data and the fact that the article is submitted for review and publication solely in the Scientific Journal Scientific Notes of Ostroh Academy National University, "Economics" series.

In the case of plagiarism revelation, the article will be rejected without consideration by the members of the editorial board.

The author (authors) are obliged to quote the publications that were used when writing the article and which reveal the analysis of research on selected topics.

If there are co-authors of the work, then there should be only those who have made a significant scientific contribution to the submitted work and who share responsibility for the results received.

The authors are obliged to correct the errors and to take into consideration the recommendations provided by reviewers of the journal.

 

Ethical norms for reviewers

All articles submitted for review are considered confidential.

The reviewer undertakes the responsibility to provide a timely response to the submitted article by filling out the appropriate form.

The review should clearly and objectively substantiate the level of the article, provide recommendations for improvement by the authors.

The reviewer is obligated to take into account the intellectual property of the authors, not to use / disclose unpublished information contained in the submitted work without the consent of the author (s).

Reviewers are required to indicate all potential conflicts of interest and refuse to review the article in case of impossibility of qualitative evaluation.
